West Coast
Thasos' west coast has been assailed by package tours for years, though there are still a
few idyllic spots and quiet sandy beaches. Better still, the inland mountain villages pre-
serve a traditional pace of life and fine stone architecture.

Continuing west, the port of
Skala Prinou
has ferries to Kavala (€4.70), though little
else to warrant a stop. But 6km inland, past the town of Prinos, the hillside villages of
Mikros Kazaviti

Megalo Kazaviti
