O Lefkos Pyrgos SWEETS $
(desserts €4-6; 9am-3am Jul-Aug) The summer-only Lefkos Pyrgos is an excellent and
inventive sweets shop run by master confectioner Georgios Stergiou and wife Dafni. Try
lemonade with honey and cinnamon, or Greek yoghurt with bitter almond. Exotic teas,
coffees and mixed drinks are also served with all-natural ingredients.
Café-Ouzeri 1900 TAVERNA $
(mains €5-9) This flower-filled taverna offers friendly service and great mezedhes. Start
the day here with yoghurt and honey, or sample the house tzigerosarmades (goat with
onion, dill and spearmint). The large, colourful menu, printed to look like a newspaper, is
a take-home memento.
