this magical boutique hotel has a lush pool to float in as you gaze
at the mouthwash-green bay below. Their lobby is brilliantly eclectic, scattered in an-
tiques and a grand piano, while rooms fuse contemporary and traditional, with split level
floors, raised beds, sofas, kitchenettes and a sense of home.
Stone massage treatments, reiki and acupuncture therapies (€20) are also available.

Thalassa's 12 rooms
boast incredible views of the harbour and bay from their spacious roof terraces. The
rooms are marble floored with four-poster beds, Caribbean-blue fittings and floral bed-
spreads. That said, despite the free airport transfer it seems a little overpriced.
Eating
There are some tempting eating options in Hora and Skala and a string of chichi restaur-
ants in Livadi.
Barbarossa

Food with soul, this is the island's best restaurant. Inside
are exposed stone walls covered with antique Greek poster girls, plus amazing views
from the back window. Meanwhile outside, there's a buzzing little terrace close to the
town hall. Barbarossa's menu of mussels

grilled shrimps, souvlakia and pork
fillet with mushrooms will leave your taste buds aglow.
