( 22420 47200; www.kosaktis.gr ; Vasileos Georgiou 7; s/d from €148/188; ) Rectan-
gular and glass-accented, the soundtrack to this chic option is the lap of the waves. By
night from its plush bedrooms - with granite floors and bathrooms too perfect to insult
with your presence - you can see Bodrum lit up like a chandelier. Rooms also have bal-
conies and flat-screen TV, and beyond there's a gym and inviting pool.

(Appelou Ifestou 27; mains €6.50; ) This side-street restaurant exudes authen-
ticity, with stone walls, wood floors and walls frescoed with Greek gods (see how many
you can name with your kids). The menu features seasonal vegetables, myriad Greek
wines, lamb in tomato with cinnamon, beef with cheese, stuffed meatball with feta, rustic
sausage and drunken pork (in wine).
The aftertaste is so sweet you won't want to brush your teeth.
Zorba's GREEK $
(Plateia Diagora; mains €8; lunch & dinner; ) Attractively Aegean with blue and
white trim, Zorba's serves up fresh salads, souvlakia, steaks, gyros, kleftiko, stifadho and
stewed beef; as well as plenty of veggie options like fried zucchini. Service is friendly
and the owner benign.

healthy lunch or dinner, out on the decked terrace facing Bodrum. Choose from
bruschetta, grilled veg, battered shrimp, chicken risotto, or simply plump for a sundown-
er mojito (€7.50).
