these are fresh, well-appointed studios with spotless kitchenettes, fridge, modern en
suites, private balconies and a great communal roof terrace. The apartments are roomy
with tiled floors, flat-screen TVs and sofa bed - try for number 3. A few streets back
from the harbour.

Ilidi looks out to sea with unbroken views from its whitewashed eyrie. You'll have to
walk like Sisyphus up a steep hill to reach it (only five minutes!), however their cosy stu-
dios merit the effort. Rooms are spotless with four-posters, self catering facilities, and
private balconies. Beyond the chic communal lobby there's also a stylish cafe bar.

On the beach in a
courtyard of sugarcube houses, these apartments are bursting with sunshine, geraniums
and taste, with tiled bathrooms, kitchenettes, TVs and comfy sofas. There's also a pleas-
ant cafe with sea views through the tamarisk trees.
Eating
For picnics and self-catering, there are three grocery stores in Livadia with lots of fresh
local produce.
Omonoia Cafe

If the elderly owners were any friendlier you'd stick
them in your bag and smuggle them home. Omonoia's tables are shaded by a mature fig
tree and make a perfect spot for breakfast, light lunch or dinner. The menu is replete with
grilled meats, seafood and salads. Beware waistlines - their sponge cake is dangerously
tasty.

Micro in
size, yet there's nothing diminutive about this cosy nook's appeal. With its exposed stone
walls and peppering of nautical eclectica, Micro is great for the kids, with porthole win-
dows, board games and little corners to play in, while you nurse a sundowner on the ter-
race facing the beach. Salads, seafood, pies, mezedhes and sandwiches.
