keeping accurately to Lt. Leask's predicted time of 5 min per stone.

conferred with the ground crew; they had no radio link, and he had
to drop a headset on a cable, while the helicopter hovered on auto-
pilot, nodding and wobbling in what seemed dangerous proximity
