The border town of Wodonga is separated from its NSW twin, Albury, by the Murray
River. Although a busy little town with a lake formed off Wodonga Creek, most of the at-
tractions and the best of the accommodation are on the NSW side.
There are signed trails for the many walking and bike trails around Gateway Island,
along the Murray River and to the beautiful wetlands of
Sumsion Gardens

start of the
High Country Rail Trail

skirts around the southern end of Lake Hume to Old Tallangatta.
