With the largest fishing fleet in the state, Lakes Entrance is a great place to indulge in
fresh seafood. You can sometimes buy shellfish (prawns, bugs) straight from local boats

ways fresh.
The best cafe strip is on the Esplanade and around the corner on Myer St, right opposite
the Cunninghame Arm footbridge.

guide you to this quirky, licensed cafe on the Esplanade opposite the footbridge. Good
coffee; all-day breakfasts - Mexican eggs, French toast or Spanish omelettes; lunches of
focaccias and baguettes; and light mains with an Asian-Italian influence.

It's hard to beat the ambience of dining on the
deck of this floating cafe-restaurant, which will fill you to the gills with fish and seafood
dishes, including good ol' fish and chips. The seafood platter is a great order. It's child-
friendly, and downstairs you can buy fresh seafood, including prawns and crayfish.
