trains depart daily from Melbourne's Flinders St and
Southern Cross Stations for Dandenong, connecting with buses to Inverloch ($16.40, 3½
hours). A quicker option (2½ hours) is the V/Line coach with a change at gloriously
named Koo Wee Rup.
If you're driving to Inverloch from Melbourne (148km), follow the signs to Phillip Is-
land and Wonthaggi. The route via Leongatha, 27km northeast of Inverloch, is less scenic
but slightly quicker.
