Formerly the island's prison, this organic farm offers cosy guesthouse rooms (former of-
ficers' quarters) and makes abundant use of recycled furniture. All rooms have shared
bathrooms. The meals here are outstanding.
Getting There & Around
Inter Island Ferries ( 03-9585 5730; www.interislandferries.com.au ) runs a service between Stony
Point and Tankerton (10 minutes, at least two daily, four on Tue, Thu, Sat & Sun, adult/
child return $24/12). You can reach Stony Point directly from Frankston on a Metlink
train.
You can hire bikes ($25 per day) from the kiosk at the jetty in summer and from the
general store.
