Central Deborah Goldmine

For a very deep experience, descend into this 500m-deep mine with a geologist.
The mine has been worked on 17 levels, and about 1000kg of gold has been removed.
After donning hard hats and lights, you're taken down the shaft to inspect the operations,
complete with drilling demonstrations. There are five tours on weekdays and six on week-
ends and they last about 75 minutes. Other tours include the 2½-hour Underground Ad-
venture ($75/45/190), or, for the claustrophobes, a self-guided surface tour ($14/7/35).

interesting tour of the city, hop aboard one of the restored vintage 'talking' trams. The
hop-on hop-off trip runs from the Central Deborah Goldmine to the

Weeroona.
