Upstairs from an Irish pub, Geelong's only backpacker's hostel is a family-owned affair
with clean dorms, most of which only have two beds - a good deal. Plus guests get 20%
off pub meals downstairs. It's a short walk from the city, Pakington St and Geelong sta-
tion.

midrange choice, this guesthouse was built in 1897 with gorgeous timber floorboards

built on top of a barge once used to dredge the Yarra. Grab a chair on the deck or the

restaurant in its attached boat shed.
