The edgiest of the Art Series hotels, this one's decked out by the late
grunge-painter Adam Cullen, whose vibrant and often graphic works provide visions of
Ned Kelly shooting you from the glam opaque room/bathroom dividers. Rooms are clas-
sic boutique - ultra comfy but not big on space.
You can borrow the keys for the hotel's Porsche Cayenne ($75 per day), smart car ($60
per day) or Kronan electric bike ($5 per hour). On the art theme, French street artist Blek
le Rat contributed 17 of his signature rat stencils here, too.

This Victorian terrace, built in 1902, is enjoying a luxurious reincarnation as a boutique
hotel. Each room is uniquely styled: waxed floorboards and wooden mantels are matched
with stainless steel, while antiques and contemporary local furniture are thrown effort-
lessly together. Its rooftop has great city views, and the location is smack-bang between
the Royal Botanic Gardens and Fawkner Park.
