The Stockholm Card, a 24-hour pass for 450 kr, includes all public trans-
it, free entry to almost every sight (75 attractions), some free or discounted
tours, and a handy sightseeing handbook. An added bonus is the substantial
pleasure of doing everything without considering the cost (many of Stock-
holm's sights are worth the time but not the money). The card pays for it-
self if you use public transportation and see Skansen, the Vasa Museum, and
Drottningholm Palace. You can stretch it by entering Skansen on your 24th
hour. A child's pass (age 7-17) costs about 60 percent less. The Stockholm
Card also comes in 48-hour (625 kr), 72-hour (750 kr), and 120-hour (950 kr)
versions. Cards are sold at the main TI, airport TI, many hotels, hostels, larger
subway stations, Pressbyrån newsstands, and at www.visitstockholm.com .
