Sogndal is the only sizeable town in this region. While it lacks the charm of
Solvorn and Balestrand, it's big enough to have a busy shopping street and a
helpful TI (mid-June-mid-Aug Mon-Fri 9:00-18:00, Sat 10:00-16:00, closed
Sun; shorter hours in May and Sept, closed in winter; in the Kulturhus at
Hovevegen 2, mobile 97 60 04 43).
