tion: Lillehammer) and heads for the church, with a return bus departing Bor-
gund in mid-afternoon (240-kr round-trip, get ticket from driver, about 1 hour
each way with about 1 hour at the church, bus runs daily May-Sept, tell driver
you want to get off at the church).
My recommended accommodations are away from the tacky train-station
bustle, but a close enough walk to be convenient. The first two places are
located along the waterfront a quarter-mile from the station: Walk around the
little harbor (with the water on your left) for about 10 minutes. It's more en-
joyable to follow the level, waterfront dock than to hike up the main road.
