▲Ribe —A Viking port 1,000 years ago, Ribe, located about 30 miles south-
west of Billund, is the oldest, and possibly loveliest, town in Denmark. It's
an entertaining mix of cobbled lanes and leaning medieval houses, with a
fine cathedral with modern paintings under Romanesque arches (free entry,
