The area under construction on the right is where they are recreating a har-
borfront area from the 1970s (due to open in 2014). Continue down along the
construction zone, cross the canal, and turn right (back toward the entrance).
You'll pass idyllic pond scenery and the Simonsens Have cafeteria, before
winding up at the bridge you crossed earlier.
Moesgård Museum
—The museum is closed until 2014, when its brand-new,
state-of-the art building is due to open south of town. Billed as “cultural his-
tory in a new setting,” the sloping building will emerge from the fields, with
grass growing on the roof; in addition to the existing prehistory collection,
plans call for new exhibits on ethnography and the Arabian Gulf, plus space

Tivoli Friheden Amusement Park
—The local Tivoli, about a mile south of
the train station, offers great fun for the family.
