Eating in Odense
If you are in town for just a short stopover to visit the Hans Christian Ander-
sen House, consider the café at the museum for lunch. Otherwise, Odense's
main pedestrian shopping streets, Vestergade and Kongensgade, offer the
best atmosphere and most options for lunch and dinner.
Vintapperstræde is an alleyway full of restaurants just off Vestergade
(look for the ornamental entryway). Choose from Danish, Mexican, Italian,
and more. Study the menus posted outside each restaurant to decide, then grab
a table inside or join the locals at an outdoor table.
