Sights in Odense

▲▲▲Hans Christian Andersen House —To celebrate Hans Christian
Andersen's100thbirthdayin1904,thecityfoundedthismuseuminthehouse
where he was born. Today the humble (and rebuilt) house is the corner of
an expansive, high-tech museum packed with mementos from the writer's
life—and hordes of children and tourists. You could spend several delightful
hours here getting into his life story and work. It's fun if you like the man and
his tales.
Cost and Hours: 70 kr (30 percent discount if you have a ticket for
Fyrtøjet or Møntergården —see next two listings), free for kids under 18,

Information: Everything is well described in English. The 50-kr guide-
