Money: The town's only ATM is on Torvet Square.
Internet Access: Try the TI (steady hours) or the library on Torvet Square
(sketchy hours).
Laundry: Ærøskøbing's self-service launderette (on Gyden) is looking for a
new owner; in the meantime, most of its machines are out of order. You
might be able to do laundry, but don't count on it.

Bike Rental: Pilebækkens Cykler rents bikes year-round at the gas station
at the top of the town. Manager Janne loans readers of this topic the
25-kr island cykel map so they won't get lost (three-speed bikes-55 kr/
24 hours, seven-speed bikes-75 kr/24 hours; Mon-Fri 9:00-16:30, Sat
9:00-12:00, closed Sun except in July—when it's open 10:00-13:00; from
Torvet Square, go through green door at Søndergade end of square, past
garden to next road, in the gas station at Pilebækken 7; tel. [phone]).
Hotel Ærøhus rents seven-speed bikes (75 kr/24 hours, 200-kr deposit,
open very long hours). The campground also rent bikes (see “Sleeping in
Ærøskøbing,” later). Most people on Ærø don't bother locking up their
bikes—if your rental doesn't have a lock, don't fret.
