At about 600 kr or so per double, staying in a private home can be a great
value. While these accommodations offer a fine peek into Danish domestic
life, the experience can be as private or as social as you want it to be. Hosts
generally speak English, and you'll get a key and can come and go as you
like. Rooms generally have no sink, and the bathroom's down the hall. They
usually don't include breakfast, but you'll have access to the kitchen. I've
