Ages and Renaissance sections; to go in chronological order, go left, cover
your eyes, and walk through the exhibits to the start of the Middle Ages and
the coming of Christianity. Then retrace your steps through the Middle Ages
(eyes open this time). Here you'll find lots of bits and pieces of old churches,
such as golden altars and aquamaniles , pitchers used for ritual hand-washing.
The Dagmar Cross is the prototype for a popular form of crucifix worn by

in this case—with colorful enamel paintings). Another cross in this case (the
Roskilde Cross, studded with gemstones) was found inside the wooden head
