With regard to computer simulations, the results thus gained are
generally of quantitative nature. However, the interpretation of simu-
lation results with respect to the original system to answer the given
questions may be quantitative or qualitative.
2.1.3 Model development process
In order to be precise, the term model has to be refined and augmented
with additional information. In general, the model does not exist, but
rather a model always exists in different stages. These different stages
may best be explained following a generic model development process.
In [77, 106] a model development process is proposed that con-
