In-Depth Information
Collision -event is triggered which in turn leads to an unsuccessful
completion of the agents' actions (i. e., their movement onto this
cell).
c 2 C
: Worker or forklift has to be on adjacent cell for picking-up
and putting-down articles.
In order to pick-up an article or put-down an article, workers and
forklifts have to be on a cell adjacent to a storage location respect-
ively an incoming or outgoing platform. By explicitly stating and
modeling this condition as a constraint in the sense of the GRAMS
reference model, appropriate simulation engines are capable of enfor-
cing this constraint during a simulation execution. Thereby, flaws
in behavior or subtle implementation errors are detected fast. Com-
pared to constraint c 1 a violation of this constraint does not result
in a new event, but leads to an abortion of the current simulation,
i. e., if a simulation engine detects a violation of constraint c 2 the
current simulation is stopped immediately.
Micro-level: Articles
A clear distinction has to be made between articles and article types .
An article type contains general information and does not refer to a
real, physical article. Therefore, article types are characterized by the
following properties:
Unique name (e.g., coffee machine)
Weight
Only two different weights are distinguished: light, heavy. Light
articles may be carried by either persons or forklifts. Heavy articles
may only be carried by forklifts.
Value (in Euro)
Reordering time
The reordering time denotes the time of delivery which is required
in case of reorders of the warehouse manager. Unit: minutes.
