Park Savoy Hotel Most stays this close to Central Park come at a price (high). Somehow this hotel in the center of
everything charges just $115 for a single with a private bathroom. Doubles are $150, and while rooms are small,
they're plenty serviceable. (If you need more space, the Great Lawn is just a little ways away.)

Travel Inn Despite a 42nd Street location, this hotel has some unusual amenities for Manhattan, like an outdoor
pool, sun deck, and free parking. There's a chain hotel feel, but rooms are decent sized and a renovation has the
place fully updated. It's a little west of the beaten path, but that's a good thing when it comes time to lay down
your head in a city that never sleeps. Low-season doubles start at $125—heck, you could spend that much just
parking.

The Out NYC This “straight-friendly urban resort” could as easily be described as a high-design gay compound.
It's on the western fringe of Times Square, giving it access to major gay neighborhoods in Chelsea and Hell's
Kitchen. Of course, with an on-site spa, sun deck, garden, lawn, restaurant, and nightclub, who needs the rest
of the city? A regular room costs a pretty penny (doubles run about $350 a night), but if you're amenable to a
roommate or three you can catch a great deal. “Sleep Share” accommodations are $99 a night. Four sleep in a
room and split a bathroom, but the beds are full-size and there are privacy curtains and personal TVs. Although
nominally “straight-friendly,” don't expect any Tucker Max acolytes in the next bed over.
