CONCLUSION
Since the discovery of qinghaosu three decades ago, qinghaosu and its derivatives,
as well as other corresponding peroxide compounds, have received great atten-
tion. A new generation of antimalarial drug was born from traditional Chinese
medicine. It is expected that more medicinal applications will also be produced
from this natural gift. New ground in chemistry and biology has also been broken
during this exploration. With the continuing endeavor around the world, it is
expected that more achievements will appear in the qinghaosu research area.
