Getting There & Around
Bus
Buses leave regularly for Radenci (€2.75, 20 minutes, 19km), Maribor (€6.30, 1¼
hours) and Moravske Toplice (€1.80, 15 minutes). Other destinations include Dobrovnik
(€2.70, 30 minutes, 18km) and Ljubljana (€16.80, 4¼ hours) via Maribor and Celje.
Train
Murska Sobota has rail connections to Ljubljana (€12 to €14, four hours) and Mari-
bor (€6.80 to €8.50, 1¾ hours, 98km) and Vienna, Austria. From Murska Sobota the train
carries on to Budapest, Hungary.

POTTERY TOWNS OF PREKMURJE
Explore some of Prekmurje's less-frequented towns and discover thermal spas, pottery workshops and a floating
mill.
From Murska Sobota, head north along Route 232, then from Martjanci head east along Route 442 to the
thermal spa of
Moravske Toplice
.
Tešanovci
, a couple of kilometres east, is noted for its
lončarstvo
(pottery).
About 2.5km further east is the village of
Bogojina
and its
Parish Church of the Ascension
, which was rede-
signed by Jože Plečnik around 1926. The interior is an odd mixture of black marble, brass, wood and terracotta;
the oak-beamed ceiling is fitted with Prekmurje ceramic plates and jugs, as is the altar.
Filovci
, 2km past Bogojina, is famed for its č
