Frequent buses between Koper (€1.80, 15 minutes, 8km), Piran (€1.80, 20 minutes, 10km)
and Portorož go via Izola. Other destinations from Izola (via Koper) include Ljubljana
(€11.40, 2½ hours, 130km, five a day, with up to nine in July and August) and Nova Gor-
ica (€9.60, 2½ hours, 103km, one or two a day).
International routes include six buses a day (five on Saturday) to Trieste (€3.10, 40
minutes, 23km) in Italy; and Umag (€5.20, 1¼ hours, 45km, five daily), Pula (€8.70, 2½
hours, 94km, 7.45am and 2.12pm daily) and Rovinj (€11.10, three hours, 4.07pm June to
September) in Croatia.
