Gothic but mostly dating from the mid-18th century, has a white classical interior with a

Trg Brolo
Linked to Titov trg to the east, Trg Brolo is a wide and leafy square of fine old buildings,

, now the central library, to the north. On the eastern side is the 17th-

, a granary (1416) where the town's wheat was once stored, with wonderful medallions
and reliefs. Just south is the disused
Church of St James
(Cerkew Sv Jakoba) dating to
the 14th century.

Čevljarska Ulica
Historic Čevljarska ulica (Cobbler Street), a narrow commercial street for pedestrians,
runs south from Titov trg. As you walk under the arch of the Praetorian Palace, have a
look to the right. The little hole in the wall with the Italian inscription '
Denontie'
was
where anonymous denunciations of officials and others could be made.
At the end of Čevljarska ulica is the
Almerigogna Palace
