This flower-bedecked 12-room inn in a renovated 19th-century house is in a quiet
location above the lake. The larger apartment is in a delightful wooden cabin and the in-
house restaurant is excellent.

A favourite of ours, this Best Western-member hotel boasts 60
of some of the most attractive rooms in Bled. We love the rooms (such as 402 and 403)
with blond-wood walls, red carpet, and bath with Jacuzzi in front of a massive window fa-
cing the lake.

Bled's upscale campground
is one of the nicest in the country and one of the few places around in which to try
'glamping' - aka glamorous camping - in this case, ecofriendly, all-natural A-frame huts,
some equipped with hot tubs. The campground setting is a well-tended rural valley at the
western end of the lake, about 2.5km from the bus station.

This is arguably the nicest of several hostels clustered on a hillside on the eastern shore of
the lake, about 500m north of the centre. The setting is a renovated villa, with six rooms
(including one private double), a great kitchen and free laundry. Note the upstairs rooms
get hot in midsummer. There are two free parking spots - a godsend in Bled, where park-
ing is well-nigh impossible.
