inviting guesthouse on the main square may just be the best restaurant in Gorenjska.
Everything from relatively common dishes like veal goulash to harder-to-find items like
beef tongue and kohlrabi are given a gourmet touch. Book ahead on weekends or to snag a
table on the back terrace with stunning mountain views.

This traditional wine cellar and small terrace may lack the picturesque set-
ting of the town's other good restaurants, but it's no slouch when it comes to cooking. The
menu is filled with grilled meats and seafood, pasta and pizza. The grilled calamari stuffed
with prosciutto and mozzarella was one our best meals in Slovenia.

This delightful restaur-
ant is one of the most welcoming in Gorenjska. It serves excellent Slovenian dishes to or-
der and bans pizzas altogether. Don't miss the cellar dining room, which was once part of
a prison (and may have seen an execution or two), and the wonderful back terrace with
stunning views of Mt Triglav.
