20-minute walk) in the charming village of Stara Loka. It serves authentic traditional
Slovenian cooking in an informal tavern setting. There's a small terrace for dining outside
in hot weather.

This attractive (and huge) pub and wine bar in the cellar of the town's 16th-century
granary is Škofja Loka's most upscale dining option, and the perfect venue for a big meal
out. The menu is heavy on traditional Slovenian food but there's also an appealing range
of pizzas on the menu. There's a small terrace outside.

This friendly, upbeat pizzeria and spaghetti
house serves the town's best pizza, good salads and pasta dishes that are so big they could
easily be shared. Book in advance for one of the few riverside tables. It's a little tricky to
find, but more or less directly across the river from the post office.
