The place to be seen on a sunny summer afternoon, the 'Cat' is one of a
number of spots on the right bank of the Ljubljanica to relax over a coffee or alcoholic
beverage. Starts to really hop after sundown, when it morphs pretty seamlessly into a

This wonderful cafe in the Slovenian Ethnographic Museum is all
glass and modern art with views of the attached pottery workshop and live ethno music on
Tuesday and Friday.

This very
stylish gay-owned and run cafe south of the Old Town has become the meeting point for
Ljubljana's burgeoning queer culture. In June 2009 it was attacked by fascist homo-
phobics who attempted to torch the place, and some patrons fought back.
