Should you fancy a bit of Indian, head for this place on the
left bank of the Ljubljanica. You won't get high-street-quality curry but the thalis and tan-
doori dishes are very good. The choice of vegetarian dishes is better than average and set
lunch is €6.50 to €8.50. Eat along the river in nice weather.

midnight Mon-Sat)
If Turkish is your thing, head for authentic (trust us) 'Star House',

the road.

The name couldn't be more misleading. It's more than a lunch cafe... and the 'Marley'
bit? We just don't get it. Still, it's a very popular spot for lunch or dinner with salads, pas-
tas and a variety of meats and seafood. There's sidewalk dining in nice weather.

A wooden-
beamed cottage pub with a nautical theme (think nets and seascapes), this is actually a
rather exclusive fish restaurant with a lovely (and protected) back courtyard for the warm-
er months.
