The modern building across the courtyard to the northeast of the
Slovenian Ethnographic Museum contains a bizarre assortment of mostly applied art and
objets d'art (furniture, religious items, paintings etc) that are tenuously linked through
themes. Surely this is a home away from home for these goodies until the main museum
site is sorted.

This suburb about 2km northeast of Tabor is
Ljubljana's answer to Père Lachaise or Highgate, but is best known for the ornamental
gates and chapels and colonnades known as 'Plečnik Žale', which were designed by the
architectural master in 1940. The Plečnik buildings are used for pre-burial ceremonies.
