It is difficult to imagine a prettier setting for a
meal. Antique-filled Ristorante Milano sits off its own shady gravel-and-lawn garden
where a handful of tables are set up and birdsong provides the background music. It over-
looks Verbania Pallanza's cute port and Isolino San Giovanni. The cuisine is broadly Itali-
an, with some interesting variations on the theme, such as
risotto ai petali di rosa
(risotto
with rose petals).
