WOMEN TRAVELLERS
Generally speaking, women travellers should have few problems getting around solo in
the Seychelles. As in any country, however, women should use their common sense when
going to isolated stretches of beach and inland areas alone.
Getting There & Away
AIR
The Seychelles international airport ( 4384400; www.seychelles-airport.com ) , about 8km south of
Victoria, is the only international airport in the Seychelles.
The main international carriers are Emirates ( 4292700; www.emirates.com ; 5th June Ave;
8.30am-4pm Mon-Fri, 8.30am-noon Sat) and Etihad Airways ( www.etihadairways.com ; Independence Ave, Air
Seychelles; 8am-4pm Mon-Fri, 8am-noon Sat) , which offer daily flights to Dubai (UAE) and Abu
Dhabi (UAE) respectively and connecting flights to the rest of the world. Note that Etihad
Airways has a code-share agreement with Air Seychelles.
Condor ( 4288888; www.condor.com ; Revolution Ave, Victoria, Mason's Travel; 8am-4.30pm Mon-Fri, 8am-
noon Sat) is the only airline that offers direct flights to/from Europe, with a weekly service
from Frankfurt (Germany).
Air Seychelles ( 4381000; www.airseychelles.com ; Independence Ave, Victoria; 8am-4pm Mon-Fri, 8am-noon
Sat) , the national carrier, has regular flights to Abu Dhabi (UAE; in code-share with Etihad
Airways), Hong Kong, Johannesburg (South Africa) and Mauritius.

8.30am-4pm Mon-Fri, 8.30am-noon Sat) , with weekly flights to Réunion, and Kenya Airways (
