Boat Excursions
Taking a boat excursion to nearby Île Cocos , Félicité and Grande Sœur will be one of the main
highlights of your visit to the Seychelles and it's well worth the expense. Full-day tours
typically stop to snorkel off Île Cocos and Félicité and picnic on Grande Sœur. The best
snorkelling spots can be found off the iconic Île Cocos.
Most lodgings and travel agencies on La Digue can arrange such trips. Prices are about
€110, including a barbecued fish lunch. Half-day tours can also be organised (€55).
Diving & Snorkelling
La Digue features a range of excellent dive sites, including the iconic White Bank. Snor-
kelling is also top notch. Sweet spots around the island include Anse Sévère and Anse
Patates. Île Cocos and Félicité seem to be tailored to the expectations of avid snorkellers,
with glassy turquoise waters and a smattering of healthy coral gardens around. All boat
tours include snorkelling stops.

GUESTHOUSE €€
( 4234391; La Passe; s/d incl breakfast €35/65; ) Unfussy, low-key and priced a hair lower than
the competition - a bonanza for budget-conscious visitors. The three fan-cooled rooms
(plus one which has air-con and costs an extra €10) won't have you writing 'wish you
were here' postcards, but you can save the postage for sampling the good Creole dinners
(€12) prepared by Marie-Anne, the friendly owner. A stand-alone bungalow should also
be available by the time you read this, and there are plans to install air-con in all of the
rooms (which will drive up prices by €10).
