Getting Around
Praslin has a decent bus service (Rs 5) as well as the usual taxis. A taxi ride from the Baie
Ste Anne jetty to Anse Volbert or Grand Anse will set you back Rs 200.
A car is a great way to see the island. For car hire, you can negotiate directly with car-
rental companies - the tourist office has a list.

Hopping around the small islands off Praslin is done by chartered boat; trips are usually
organised through the hotels or tour operators.
SAILING AROUND THE SEYCHELLES
Experienced sailors and novices can charter sailboats, yachts and cruisers by the day or week. Charters can be ar-
ranged by calling a local charter company or a tour agent. Most companies offer boats with a skipper and crew, as
well as 'bareboat' vessels on which you're your own skipper. The best months for cruising are April and October;
