Gelateria de Luca
OFFLINE MAP
(Anse Volbert; mains Rs 100-480; 11am-9pm) Praslin's prime ice-cream parlour will leave you a
drooling mess. Order a coppa tropicale , and you'll see why. It also whips up pasta dishes,
pizzas and various snacks at lunchtime, while dinner is a more formal affair, with deeply
satisfying dishes like grilled lamb chop, pork spare ribs and fish fillet. It's across the road
from the beach, but there's no view because of the thick foliage.

OFFLINE MAP
( 4232241; Anse Volbert; buffet Rs 520; dinner Thu-Tue) Charismatic Edwin and his Belgian
spouse prepare a spectacular buffet at dinner. Rejoicing begins with lip-smacking hors
d'oeuvre displayed on a boat-shaped table (the avocado salad is to die for), followed by
sizzling meat and expertly grilled fish morsels (usually red snapper, jack and job). The
dining room is atmospheric and convivial. Make sure you reserve a table.

OFFLINE MAP
( 4232170; www.cafe.sc ; Anse Volbert; mains Rs 450-800; lunch & dinner Tue-Sun) Praslin's most styl-
ish restaurant is perfect for a tête-à-tête . Flickering candles, colourful paintings on the
walls, swaying palms, a breezy terrace and the sound of waves washing the beach will re-
kindle the faintest romantic flame. The food is suitably refined; flavourful Seychellois fa-
vourites are whipped into eye-pleasing concoctions (think red snapper fillet in passion
fruit sauce or marinated chicken with tropical fruits). It's more casual at lunchtime. The
complex also shelters a reputable art gallery.
