If you're
looking for the classic Seychelles setting, complete with shady palms, lagoon views and a
splendid china-white stretch of sand just steps from your door, then this resort-style opera-
tion won't disappoint. It offers 80 comfy rooms with dark-wood fixtures and granite
bricks, ample space and heaps of amenities, including a dive centre and a watersports
centre. Rooms are in two-storey blocks. The focus of the resort is on the swimming pool
and bar-restaurant area. Note that half-board is compulsory. It's kid-friendly. All in all,
Paradise Sun is a well-run resort with a lively, sociable atmosphere.

Anse Possession
Approximately halfway between Anse Lazio and Anse Volbert, Anse Possession is con-
venient to both. It's also a good, quiet base. There's a thin strip of sand but it can't rival
the beaches at Anse Lazio or Anse Volbert.

Four
two-bedroom villas are set in lush greenery off the coast road. Although not the height of
luxury, they're clean, comfy, roomy and serviceable - perfect for the traveller who's not
fussy. Meals (from €10) can be served on request. The owners can pick you up at the jetty.
Excellent value. If it's full, the owners' daughter has newer apartments in a modern build-
ing at the front of the property, but prices are significantly higher.

This place
has four units, including two villas that are perched on a hillside. Needless to say the ver-
andahs have stunning views over the bay and Curieuse Island. The smaller 'Banana' bun-
galows feel like cosy bird's nests and will appeal to couples on a tighter budget (€95),
while the larger house closer to the coastal road is great for families. All are fully
equipped and super clean. Breakfast is €8 and dinner costs €15.
