This one is easy to re-
view: it has only one self-contained apartment that can sleep four people, and it's very
well kept and very well priced. It's not on the beach and there's no view, but you're in a
quiet property, close to shops and banks. And Beau Vallon beach is just a five- to
10-minute stroll down the road. Excellent value. Book early.

Soothingly positioned on a vel-
vety emerald hillside just above the coastal road, this popular venture is a good deal if you
can score a room with a sea view. The 25 rooms are well-appointed yet utilitarian, but
you'll be too busy soaking up the fabulous views from the vast terrace to mind. The res-
taurant (half-board is available) specialises in seafood that comes fresh straight from the
sea - it helps that the owner is a fisherman.

A great-value port of call.
Above the road in Bel Ombre, this jolly good villa shelters four immaculate rooms with
balcony. The upstairs ones proffer splendid views of the bay. The cheaper Vakwa room, at
the back, has no view. It's a 20-minute walk to Beau Vallon beach.

clean and equipped to a high standard. The ones upstairs are significantly dearer but offer
fleeting glimpses of the ocean through the foliage of exotic trees. The owner's husband
