If being
near the beach isn't a must, this hostel-like venture, efficiently run by Evelyne, is manna
from heaven for thrifty travellers. It shelters one eight-bed dorm, one 12-bed dorm and a
few doubles, which are all squeaky clean and well appointed. It's in Étang-Salé-les-Hauts,
about 4km from Étang-Salé-les-Bains, near the church. It's easy to get to the beach by
bus.
