) Le Saint-Alexis is a beautifully designed resort at the southern tip of the main
beach. The rooms are attractively decorated, although some of the standard ones are look-
ing a little threadbare these days. Facilities include a gym, a small spa and a large pool.
Frequent online promotional deals provide real value.

) Though ageing a bit, this four-star bigwig at the northern end of the beach is still a
commendable option provided you score a room with a sea view. There's a reputable on-
site restaurant if you're feeling too lazy to travel elsewhere.

There's a clutch of snack stands and laid-back cafe-restaurants along the seafront promen-
ade.

La Boucantine

taurants on this seaside strip, with an inviting terrace that affords lovely sea views. High
marks go to the souris d'agneau aux épices (morsel of lamb with spices) and the catch of
the day. There are mouthwatering desserts, too.
Bambou Bar
