If your
idea of fun is zipping down a rope suspended over a canyon, then this adrenaline rush is
all yours. Five cables hang out over the void, ranging from 420m long to 110m, with a
drop beneath you of between 50m and 100m. It's signposted off the main road between
Mont Lubin and Grande Montagne.

Guided tours led by locals are the best way to explore Rodrigues. There are several excel-
lent travel agencies in town offering a range of activities, accommodation, tours and
vehicle rentals. The tourist office has a small photocopied sheet with the phone numbers
of a dozen boatswains willing to take tourists out to the various islets in the turquoise la-
goon.
