In-Depth Information
Hike a mere kilometre down the beach and you'll uncover an idyllic ocean vista all to
yourself.
Much of the island's interior belongs to the stunningly manicured 18-hole golf course
belonging to Le Touessrok ( Click here ) - perhaps one of the most scenic spots to tee off in
the world. Nonguests are welcome to play, although advance bookings are essential.
Green fees are free for hotel guests, and €89 for everyone else for 18 holes. Island guests
are politely asked to stay off the greens and fairways lest they be conked in the head by a
soaring Titleist.
SATURDAY NIGHTS ON ÎLE AUX CERFS
Taking a cue from Ibiza and Nikki Beach, the management of Le Touessrok turns the sands of Île aux Cerfs into a
raging dance floor every Saturday night between October and March. The all-night romp fest starts at 11pm and
DJed beats blare until 5am. Admission costs Rs 500 and includes boat service and one drink.
Eating
All of the boat operators to Île aux Cerfs can arrange pricey barbecue lunches as part of
their excursions. If you've just paid for the boat and no extras, either take food for a picnic
or consider the island's two eating options.
