The Domaine
del Bel Ombre reserve has two lovely restaurants: an elegant dining venue at the golf club
with views of the manicured greens, but we prefer Le Château Restaurant, set in a stun-
ning conversion of the old Bel Ombre plantation house. This is the place for an exception-
al meal of traditional Franco-Mauritian cuisine with contemporary flourish.
Getting There & Away
There is regular bus service from Curepipe to Bel Ombre via Nouvelle France and
Chemin Grenier.
