Diving
There are several dive sites of note lurking off the southeastern coast of Mauritius. These
scuba hot spots - mostly wall dives and drop-offs - have interesting rock formations that
plunge to 40m and attract a good amount of colourful fish. The most noteworthy sites are
Colorado and Roches Zozo ('
zozo'
is Creole for bird; the site was named for the swarms
of avians that orbit the area while swooping down to snag shallow fish).

Friendly Tony, one of the most knowledgeable divers in Mauritius, runs Coral Diving, the
southeast's main scuba operator. It is primarily located on the sandy grounds of Le Preskîl
hotel. The sea dive includes pool training for beginners.
