of the word 'oasis' seriously here and these luxurious villas are a steal if you're travelling
with family or friends. Trendy Asian-inspired decor permeates the lavish open-air floor-
plans. Security is tight, privacy is held sacred and there's a real sense of being a VIP. The
only downside is that you'll need a private vehicle to get to the beach.

Eating & Drinking
Like in Grand Baie, most of Pereybère's restaurants also double as good places for a
drink, though the neighbourhood is generally much quieter. There are still some top spots
amid the frenzy of ever-growing eating options.

taurant behind the public beach offers grilled fish, curries, and steak and chips from an ex-

food in Mauritius, Wang Thai is a sophisticated, airy place with Buddha statues and raw
silks setting the scene for surprisingly affordable cuisine. Treat your taste buds to such
classics as tom yum thalay (lemongrass-laced seafood soup), green curry, fish in tamarind
sauce or phad thai (mixed fried noodles).
Sea Lovers Restaurant

smartest restaurant setting in the area. There's a gorgeous terrace built right into the sand
and the furniture is unquestionably stylish. The service, however, can be a bit lacking and
